Harbour's End
Four well-appointed holiday apartments located less than 50 metres from the sea, on Fore Street within the harbour conservation area of the popular North Devon resort of Ilfracombe. Fore Street is the oldest road in the town and winds from the High Street down to the harbour. It is a quiet road with little traffic and close to restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
The building is steeped in history, being built some 500 years ago out of old ships' timbers. It was sensitively renovated for the 2005 season and updated in a modern style whilst retaining traditional features such as oak beams. The 4 self-contained apartments each sleep between 2 and 5 and they can be booked individually or together giving flexible accommodation for up to 15.
Albemarle Apartments
The Albemarle comprises 7 apartments arranged over 3 floors and is a new conversion (for the 2006 season) from the former Albemarle Hotel. You can choose from 1, 2 or 3 bedroomed apartments, all with views, some of the beach and some of Capstone Hill. All are spacious and well equipped with full sized kitchens, comfortable living areas with satellite TV and DVD players, and all family bathrooms have both baths and showers. There is wheelchair access to the ground floor and lounges have hearing induction loops. We welcome children of all ages and provide cots, high chairs and a box of toys free of charge. Well behaved pets are also welcome.
The Albemarle is located at the bottom of Arcade Road which is a quiet road just behind The Promenade and is approximately 50m from Wildersmouth Beach.
Mariner's Vaults
The Mariner's Vaults has been designed with large groups in mind: sports groups, youth groups, students, stags and hens, or just a group of friends or family looking for a week or weekend away together.
The lounge area is designed to look like a pub, with a bar, pool table, dart board, fruit machine, large TV with DVD player. We don’t have a licence so we can’t stock the bar but you are welcome to bring your own. There are 3 chiller cabinets and a range of glassware available. There is a large kitchen if you wish to cook, although there are dozens of places to eat within a few minutes walk. Arrangements can also be made for meals at a hotel/pub some 50m away. There are 4 bedrooms which have (adult sized) bunk beds and can comfortably accommodate up to 16. There is also secure storage for surf boards, cycles, etc.
Grove Apartment
The Grove Apartment is a newly refurbished ground floor studio apartment, situated in a quiet road just off the Promenade. It is within easy reach of all amenities, being just a few minutes walk away from the High Street, Fore Street and the harbour, and a few yards from the Promenade.
The apartment consists of a light, airy, open plan room, with sofa and TV, double bed, dining table and kitchen. There is a separate shower room/WC.
