The Albemarle comprises 7 superior apartments arranged over 3 floors and is a new conversion (for the 2006 season) from the former Albemarle Hotel. During the conversion all separating floors and walls were soundproofed to a high standard and a fire detection & alarm system installed. There is no lift but the stairs are not steep. The Albemarle Apartments are all non smoking.
Apartment 2 (3 bedrooms, sleeps 2–9+)
Suitable for: A family, two families, up to four couples, a group
Situated on the ground floor, apartment 2 has 3 bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, and benefits from a large, comfortable open plan living area with spectacular sea views. Wheelchair access – see access statement.
Bedroom 1 is dual aspect with large windows looking both towards the sea and Capstone Hill. Double bed, en-suite with w/c & basin with shaver point.
Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed, en-suite with shower, w/c and basin with shaver point, view towards Capstone Hill.
Bedroom 3 has 2 sets of bunk beds, one of which has a double bed as the bottom bunk.
If required there are also two double sofa beds in the lounge.
Family bathroom: Bath with shower over, w/c, basin with shaver point.
W/C: Separate w/c & basin with shaver point.
Open plan living area: Very large open area with galley kitchen, dining table which seats up to 10 and lounge area with 2 double sofa beds, satellite TV with DVD/CD player. The kitchen is full sized with oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and ample cupboard space with crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. The lounge has continuous picture windows with an impressive sea view. Gas central heating throughout with instant hot water.
The living/eating area is large enough for additional guests should more than one apartment be booked together. Additional tables & chairs are available upon request.
